Med/Web is a three-tiers web based data visualization package for oceanic datasets. Our firm has been included in a developing team providing our technologies for remote data visualization. Med/Web has been developed for Enea one of the most important research center in Italy.

Med/web may visualize as well sampling data as well the result of numerical simulations.

Med/web use our Gpr/Web engine to create 2D and 3D pictures.

Med/Web is a Ms ASP 3-tiers software package, we have used our Maspic compiler in order to develop the ASP framework.

  • Gis-like techniques to show raster (DTM and bathymetry models) and vector (coast lines, etc).

  •  Special techniques for dealing with time variable fields.

  • Asynchronous multithreaded dataset extractor and interpolator: to create offline aggregated datasets from a collection of single sampling data.

Main features:

  • Web based remote data visualizing 2D/3D. Images are created always server side (we deal with huge models!), Gpr/Web engine encode Jpeg images depending on user requests.

  • Client side: Java interface to provide enough interactivity for graphics (zooming, windowing,etc)

  • Data (Samplings, simulation results, cartographic data) stored on Oracle database.
